We will go…

God has been stirring my heart for the nations again.  I know that he called me to go on the mission field since I was a little boy.  I always wanted to be a MISSIONARY for Halloween each year.  There have been seasons of my life where this calling has been so strong and I just suppressed it or ignored it…

My wife and I have been talking about going on the mission field since BEFORE we got married.   (We just celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary on June 14th) We do not wish to go as preachers or evangelizers specifically – but as the hands and feet of Jesus… We want to go serve in an orphanage, teach English, assist in an AIDS clinic, and just generally be a support to the church in Kenya.

Rachel is working on her degree in Social Work and Gracie was accepted to a GLOBAL LEADERSHIP MAGNET SCHOOL starting this year.  We’d like to go once Rachel get’s her degree and before Gracie gets into Middle School.  so within the next 3-5 years.   In the mean time I’ve got to work on becoming debt free and prepare to go.

This song has had a significant impact on our life and ministry on several occasions.  It was what got us through our first year in Las Vegas and still has a special place in our hearts.  God has been stirring our hearts for the nations again… I’ll write more about that tomorrow.
