God we thank you for the joy you bring us. Help us prepare our hearts for this gift you bring us. Guide our minds and our hearts as we worship you in this advent season. Help us to hear and do your word. In the name of the one born in Bethlehem. Amen.

Heading to Los Angeles

Tonight we are heading over to Los Angeles. We’re going to spend Sunday and Monday out and about and return Monday night… Sunday night we’re going to head over to Live Oak to see our friend Sheri lead an evening of prayer and worship. Sheri used to lead worship at the church we attended in Washington State before we moved to Vegas. She moved to Atlanta around the same time that we left Washington – so it’s been a few years since we’ve seen her. Her brother and his wife are the worship leaders at Live Oak. On Monday we’ll probably spend a lazy day making a few stops along the way home.
